Anje West & Kym Ambrose are the heart of TVFMC, forming the band in 1998 after falling crazily in love, marrying and deciding that the world needed to hear more Brazilian music... even if it was being performed by an Australian vibraphone player and a singer who didn't speak Portuguese!
Joined early on by OJ Newcomb on bass, Mark Henman on drums & Jamie Clark on guitar, the quintet developed a sound that, even after 14 years, remains essentially unique in Australian contemporary world music.
Central to Madcouch's musical family are also Bruce Woodward (guitar), Jim Kelly (guitar), Paul Hudson (drums), and Andrew Johnson (bass); all amazing musicians who have contributed to recordings and live shows over the past ten years.
